Your shed is delivered and assembled for you by an experienced team,
so there is no flat-pack construction and no need to arrange a separate installer.
Once your base is ready and access is clear,
we can deliver your shed and assemble it in your garden on the same day.

Strong Traditional Timber Shed Construction
Our garden sheds are built using 12–13mm tongue-and-groove timber, including the floor and roof, with solid 34×34mm timber framing.
Shed panels are built in full lengths.
For example, a 12ft shed side is made as one 12ft panel rather than being assembled from three separate 4ft sections.
The same full-panel construction principle is used for the roof, floor and gable ends, helping to produce
a strong and rigid garden building.
Sheds 8ft or wider include at least one roof truss in the price.
Larger sheds may include more than one roof truss as required.
Apex or Pent Roof – Which Is Right for You?
Apex roof sheds have a traditional pitched roof
with the highest point running along the centre.
They provide good internal headroom and are a popular choice
for general garden storage.
Pent roof sheds have a single-sloping roof.
They are ideal where a shed needs to sit against a wall,
fence or boundary, and their lower overall profile can suit
gardens where height is limited.
Both roof styles are available in a wide range of shed sizes,
so the best choice usually depends on where the shed will be
positioned and how you plan to use it.

Stronger tongue and groove sheds with 15mm cladding and flooring.

Standard single doors are 30″ (762mm) wide, about the same width as a typical interior door in a house, so most garden equipment and household items can be moved in and out easily.

Wooden Shed Maintenance Guide
Every Harts Timber Shed is supplied with a factory-applied basecoat before delivery.
For long-term protection, the shed should be painted or treated after installation.
A full A4 shed-care leaflet is supplied with every shed, explaining the recommended maintenance and treatment.
We recommend Protek Royal Exterior Paint, which we can also supply.
How to Order Your Garden Shed
You can order your shed by phone from our Bolton display site
or directly from our St Helens factory.
Please have the following details ready:

- Your contact telephone number
- The shed size you require
- Your preferred roof style: Apex or Pent
- Your window choice
- Whether you require pressure-treated timber bearers
- Which side you would like the door hinged on when facing the shed from outside
- Any additional doors or windows you require
Before Delivery
Please make sure you have a solid, level area ready for the shed
and enough access for our team to carry the shed panels into your garden.
Please also check for any height restrictions or narrow access points before ordering.
Delivery and Payment
We will arrange a delivery date with you when you order.
Our own Harts Timber Sheds team will deliver and professionally assemble
your shed on the agreed date.
Payment is made in full after the shed has been assembled in your garden.
We accept cash or cheque.
