If there is a manufacturing or installation fault, we’ll put it right.

Our 12-month guarantee covers defects in materials and workmanship, including defective doors, floorboards and roof construction.

Where a roof leak is caused by a defect in the shed or its installation, we will repair or replace the affected components.

The guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, inadequate foundations, accidental damage or lack of reasonable maintenance.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.  There's sheds and there are sheds. Some sheds will get you through a couple of years. Harts sheds are simply built to last. Pure quality.
Not the cheapest but not the most expensive. You get what you pay for these days.
I cant fault the workmanship and materials that has gone into my shed.
Harts offer a complete service with several sizes and designs available including shed erection at home.
My shed arrived at the agreed date with the work completed quickly.
If you intend purchasing a shed from Harts don't forget to ask about the protection treatment. It's definitely worth the money and enhances the look of the shed and definitely protects it from the elements.

How to Care for Your Wooden Shed

Protecting Your Timber Shed

Every Harts Timber shed is supplied with a free factory-applied base coat.
This provides initial protection, but for the best long-term protection
we strongly recommend painting your shed with a suitable exterior wood treatment.

Essential Painting

Paint your shed as soon as possible, weather permitting.

Exterior walls:
Protects the timber from rain, sun and general weather exposure.
Doors — inside and outside:
Helps reduce moisture movement, swelling and general wear.
Inside of the roof:
Helps protect the roof boards from condensation and moisture build-up.

Optional Extra Protection

For even greater protection and a longer service life, you may also wish to paint:

Internal wall cladding:
Adds an extra layer of protection and can improve the appearance inside the shed.
Floor:
Helps protect against moisture, dirt and everyday wear, while also making the floor easier to clean.

Regular care will help protect your shed, keep it looking good and extend the life of the timber.

Recommended Wood Treatment

Protek Royal Exterior Wood Finish

Available from us in 5-litre tins for £65.

Colours available:
Hazelnut, Golden Oak, Slate Grey, Heritage Blue, New Sage Leaf and New Stone Grey.

Provides long-lasting colour and protection for up to 5 years
Contains a mould inhibitor to help protect against mould and fungal growth
Is highly water and weather resistant
Provides excellent protection for exterior timber
Requires a minimum of two coats for best results

Application Tips

Do not paint when rain is forecast.
Make sure the timber is reasonably dry before painting.
Stir wood treatments thoroughly before and during use.
Apply the recommended number of coats and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Regular Shed Checks

Check your shed regularly for signs of moisture, leaks or fungal growth.

Moisture control:
Deal with leaks or excessive condensation as soon as possible.
Ventilation:
Allow fresh air into the shed regularly, particularly during damp weather.
Roof and felt:
Check periodically for damage or signs of water ingress.
Doors:
Check that doors open and close freely and are not being affected by excessive moisture.

Enhancing Security

To help protect the contents of your shed and reduce the risk of damage caused by a break-in, consider fitting a motion-detecting shed alarm together with a clearly visible security warning sign.

Pressure-Treated Timber Bearers

We recommend pressure-treated timber bearers beneath your shed to raise the floor away from the base, improve airflow and help protect the underside of the shed from damp.

Bearer prices are shown separately when ordering your shed.
